I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the new magazine from the Canadian Police Association, POLICE VISION.

This magazine will be an important tool filled with information and reference material from the field of public safety and crime prevention. Our articles will cover proposed legislation and government initiatives, news and hot issues, all from the perspective of law enforcement personnel.

For those who may be unfamiliar, the Canadian Police Association was created in 2003, following the merger of the National Association of Professional Police and the Canadian Professional Police Association, and today we represent over 41,000 front-line police personnel from 170 municipal, provincial and federal police services. Our Board of Directors is made up of 29 members from across Canada, and meets regularly to advocate on police related legislation and policy. We are a non-partisan organization that is proud of the relationships we have developed with parliamentarians from all political affiliations, which has led to our organization being recognized as one of the foremost voices on law enforcement issues.

Concerned with the well-being of our communities, the Canadian Police Association works diligently to ensure that front-line police have the funding and tools necessary to ensure a better quality of life for all Canadians.
